Uki-e Kôto - Atagoyama no zu
Perspective picture of Koto, view of Atagoyama). The name 'Kôto (江都) in the series title 'Uki-e Kôto' is an alternative- or nickname for Edo that could be translated as 'Bay city'.
Katsukawa Shunko was a pupil of Katsukawa Shun'ei and designed also warrior prints (musha-e) and triptychs with Edo scenes. MFA Boston states that the series was published by Maruya Jinpachi in the 1790s. Other prints from Uki-e Kôto depict Kinryusan (Asakusa), Enoshima and Sunrise at Takanawa.
